How could one come to Switzerland and not have a meal of cheese fondue? This time it's a restaurant recommended on Xiaohongshu, but one visit is enough.

Location: In the restaurant below the hotel, very close to Interlaken Ost Station, about five minutes.

The environment: It has both outdoor and indoor Settings. The outdoor area is a long corridor at the hotel entrance, where you can see the goods store across the street. The indoor dining environment is rather dim, and with the strong sun outside, it's comfortable to sit outside, but you have to endure the smell of second-hand smoke. In fact, there is also a dining area with floor-to-ceiling glass Windows inside, but it seems not open to the public. It might only be open in the evening.

Service: It seemed that there was only one staff member, who was so busy running around that we all waited for a while.

The cheese fondue is served with French bread and potatoes. The bread is cut into a nine-grid pattern. The cheese sauce is easy to order. The potatoes vary in size, and some are eaten with the skin on. The highlight is that the cheese fondue has a particularly strong alcohol flavor. It is kept hot over low heat. The bacon brings a salty and fragrant taste, but the more you eat, the more sticky it becomes, and in the end, you can't finish it all.

This is not soup; it can be called tomato sauce. It's very generous in ingredients. The taste is more sour than sweet. Paired with two pieces of French bread, I really like it. It's just right to relieve the greasiness of the cheese.
